About Judo

If you are interested in having a go at judo, please email or call via our 'CONTACT US' page. Beginners are always welcome and your first two sessions will be free, but the club does ask that all jewellery is removed and you trim finger and toe nails to avoid unnecessary injuries. We will also provide you with a Judogi (judo suit) to borrow.

During your introduction to judo, you will learn the rules of judo, mat discipline and how to fall safely; the learning pace is then up to you. Should you decide that judo is your sport there are few things you will eventually need to do:

1. For insurance purposes you will be required to purchase a British Judo Association Licence to be able to compete and grade.

2. You will need to purchase your own judogi (judo suit), which the Club can assist with at discount.

3. You need to tell your friends!!

SO WHY NOT COME ALONG AND GIVE IT A TRY!!!
